Pelikan

Pelikan founded in 1838 in Hannover is among the oldest ink and stationery manufacturers.
The company became famous for the production of fountain pens that boasted the new piston filler technology of those days. Pelikan in the early 1900s achieved a certain notoriety also for being the main supplier of colors and tools for graphic arts in Europe.
Even today, the company produces many pens using acetate cellulose instead of plastic.
Pelikan also stands out for having created the first low-cost fountain pens for very young students.
